How to Get Rid of Blackhead

Do not squeeze!

You may be quick to squeeze the blackhead, but that is not the best way to remove a black point. The problem with squeezing the blackhead happens is that it might cause obstruction to actually go down in the gland. A portion of the oil may be released when the blackhead is squeezed, but the rest of the oil in the gland will become a pimple. Also, if the dead skin cells from the face are not removed, the dead skin will further add to the blockage of the glands. By removing dead skin and washing away excess oil accumulation, it will help remove and prevent blackheads.

Cosmetic products

Be sure to use water-based products or if you use non-comedogenic cosmetics. Check the label of cosmetics before buying, and if it contains greasy lotions, vegetable oils, lanolin, parabens, alcohol, glycol or oil-based cosmetics, do not buy it. Cosmetics with these ingredients clog pores.

Clean is key

Keep your face as clean as possible. A soft and gentle skin cleanser that will not dry daily use is recommended. And you could use the Pilaten blackhead remover or blackhead scrubber for help. Look for over-the-counter products containing either salicylic acid, benzoyl peroxide or sulfur and resorcinol. These ingredients help to remove excess oil and dead skin cells. If you want to use a natural method as a cleanser, try tea tree oil. It has two antiseptic and antibacterial properties. When you begin using a new cleaning product, please note that it can take six to eight weeks before you see an improvement and elimination of black spots.
